How much later pellet to feed

I have 16 hens and 7 ducks. They are in a coop at night then outside free range all day. I have a swimming pool that I empty and refill anytime it is soiled and they have a few acres of land woods and lawn to pick and they get scratch grains also. How much later pellet do you think they need?

Free choice is what I do, and collect at night to avoid free loading rodents. They (chickens) won't eat at night anyways if it's dark.

They woman I got them from had been grossly over feeding them so now Everytime they see me they want pellets.

Why / how do you think she was over feeding them? How often are you giving them scratch grains? They might be looking for a treat from you, if you give in easy.
I have feed out for mine 24/7, I don't ration feed. Even when they are out roaming the yard/woods, they come back for their feed.

She was giving scratch grains and yes I am also but she was going through 50lb of layer pellet every week for 16 hens and 7 ducks and if you walk outside even with the scratch on the ground they chase you screaming for pellet as soon as they get them they quiet down and go finish the scratch. I have had a lot of hens but never any that ate this much
