how much longer?

My hens still aren't broody, one spends a few hours a day on nest but that's it. Finally decided I didn't want the eggs to go to waste and put them in incubator. I'll probably sell or give those away and keep the ones my hens hatch. After waiting for a broody hen of any sort for weeks and giving up and incubating 2 days later I got a broody chicken. A black sex link went broody before my heritage turkeys. Go figure.

I know it is hard to wait for them to do their thing, esp when the poults need 6-7 months to be turkey day ready. The ones that will hatch under my hens will be about 6 months along, a little on the young side, but ok I think. Mine started like that though, sitting for a few hours a day then it seems to get longer and longer. I am happy they both decided to go broody the exact same time- what luck! Maybe stick expendable chicken eggs in there until they decide to, then give them any properly stored turkey eggs you have for them, that was what I was going to do before mine started setting last week.
