Somehow I ve lost all the information I was sent at the weekend . I have a 15 ml liquid bottle of vitasorb Liquid vitamin B drops.
I need to know how many DROPS I need to give my 4 week old Aylesbury duckling who has a Niacin deficiency. I've given her 10 drops today and already seen an amazing recovery but wonder how much she needs. Apparently the bottle says
10 drops equates to
Niacin 9mg Niacin equivalant /56
(VIT b3)
Thiamine 1.2mg/ 109
Vit B1
RIBOFLAVIN( VIT b2) 1.6mg/114
VIT B6 5MG /357
Folic acid 400ug/ 200
Vitamin B12 2ug/80

Thanks. X

Welcome to BYC.

The bottle you have doesn't contain an adequate amount of niacin, could you go to your feed store, and pick up some Cattle B Complex?

I thought that if I gave 20 DROPS on a piece if lettuce direct into her mouth this would be 18mg equivalant to 112 Niacin . What is the Niacin recommendation? Could I just up the drops? I've seen such an improvement just today of giving her the drops

Could I just not give 20 drops so she has 18g equivalant to 112 of Niacin. I thought they had to have 20mg of Niacin. These are drops which drop out one at a time from a TINY 15ML bottle. I drop the vitamin directly on a piece of lettuce and give it directly to the duckling. It's not Not added to water.
