Chirping
I have 32 khaki campbell ducklings arriving in March. Locally it seems as though there is only chick starter available (in large bags) and of course it doesn't have niacin. There's plenty of adult pellets to consider for later.
The employee I spoke to said they gave their ducks thawed frozen peas mixed with oats and nutritional yeast to give them enough niacin. I don't reslly want anything to do with frozen peas, the small makes me want to barf.
Would adding nutritional yeast as a treat pan on the side or mixing it in their food be OK? Which way would be better? How many mg of nutritional yeast should a ducklings be getting? The sticked thread I found said 70mg per kilogram for pekins which are larger I believe.
