My Khaki Cambell duckings are around 3 weeks now, and they seem happy and healthy. I bought a bag of 20% protein feed for the first two weeks, but my understanding is that I should now reduce their protein to 16-18%. Since I'm not going to buy another bag of 16% feed, heard I can mix in rolled oats in order to reduce the protein percentage. However, I don't know how much rolled oats to mix in. 10%? 25%? Does anyone know?

Thanks.

I think 25%. Be careful, though. Introduce the oats in 5% increments and make sure grit is provided (maybe not necessary, but I would feel better with grit around). You can search "caring for ducklings backyard chickens" and someone wrote a good article taken from Dave Holderreads "Storey's Guide to raising Ducks" book.
