I have about two and a half feet on the low side. It is wide enough to walk under and go from pen to pen. (I use chain link dog kennels for my pens.) I used washers around all the screw heads, even though they came with little ones, I put one inch washers with each screw so the tin won't tear in a bad wind storm.
