Depends on the bag size....

It depends how deep you want it. 1 cubic yd will cover it to a depth of about 3 inches.

I used 5,600lbs for my runs...and I need another 5,600lbs this spring to redo it. It seems to last about a year and then it washes away.

That's for 6 runs....one being HUGE and the rest medium sized....

It has a lot to do with the amount of snow we get. Eventually, I'd like to cover the runs with clear (hard) plastic roofing. DH says it will be about $2,000 because he'll have to reinforce all of the posts on the runs and basically do them all over again...but that's my ultimate dream....well, other than another even larger coop, LOL
