How much should I be trying to get this crossbeak to eat daily? And can I train her to eat sideways?

Should I leave her in the house for the time being? A storm just rolled through, and it's pretty cool outside.

Also, I know how to make them vomit to clear out sour crop. I read somewhere (wish I could find it!!!) that a similar approach (head down and extended with body up) with soft Heimlich-like thrusts can help them bring up foreign matter from lungs, but I'd have to learn lung anatomy fast to try that.

Looks like upside down with pats to the back might help? With periodic rests to come up for breath?

A vet saw her, yes? Call the vet and ask for their opinion. The avian respiratory system is complicated, it has many air sacs and lungs, so I would not try get her to cough stuff up unless a vet told me to do it.

Maybe the vet will want to start her on some antibiotics.
