how much should i charge

I've been contemplating this myself and this is what I've come up with:

$1 a chick for those that hatch and a flat rate for doing it in the first place (like $5 or $10) so that you are covered in the event of at failed hatch.

Good luck!

yep, the new sportsman.

all i know is i bought 18 two week old chicks last spring/ summer and paid 2.50 for each not a bad price i thought

It cost me $40 a month to run my old redwood bator.
I think if you're going to hatch for other people, charge per hatched chick. You don't want people blaming you for failed hatches when you charge $10 or so to set a dozen. Ya know? Liability and junk.

thats why i think it would be smart to have a deposit,

also, i would say that i get to break open one egg to check fertility, if its not fertile break another, and if you cant find a fertile one then tell them i cant set these (elploders and such)
