$10-15 around here for purebreed laying hens. Even mixed hens seem to go for around $8-10!

Around here $10 for common laying hens - I sold my EEs for $15 each a ways back, but they're considered "fancy."

You might consider checking on your local Craigslist.com or Bestfarmbuys.com - search for "laying hens" and see if you can find some ads. That'll tell you what others are charging/what your market will bear.
