Hi, I have day old Royal Purple Keets, I am wondering what I should sell them for, Does the price change as they get older? Any help would be great, Going to Prob list them on Craigs List. Thanks

Have you checked your local craigslist or farm/feed store bulletin boards to see what others sell theirs for? You don't want to jip yourself, but you don't want to over price and end up stuck with them either. I would not sell them for any less less than $5 each tho, up to 1 wk old. I usually raise my prices $1 every 2 wks of age, if I have them that long (not nearly enough, but I need to move them out of here). The older they get the more food they eat and the more bedding they go thru tho...

I agree with Peeps....and it will also depend on the interest/demand for
your area I think.......and how 'flooded' your area also could determine your
pricing.....

I price mine at $4.00 for day old up to 1 week but increase like Peeps does...
for me, I live out in the sticks and out of the way that if I am not a bit lower
buyers will go to someone closer to them, but thats just me...

just this past weekend a fella wanted to buy the 2 keets I currently have
(yeah, just 2 ) and I told him $4 each....he told me that was a $! too high....
that's ok with me, they were not sold...I had to hunt the eggs, incubate them,
feed them and it's ok for me to keep til they get older...for me, most of my buyers
want guineas 12 weeks and up.....so, just depends on your market for your area.

didn't mean to go on and on ........good luck!

I am selling three to a friend for $10.00 I will advertise in paper and craigslist for $5.00 each. It is harder to find Guineas around here then other poulty.

I advertise mine in the GA Market Bulletin under the poultry for sale section. I believe each state has that magazine. I've never sold one any other way. I sell my keets for $4.00 each, but I plan to increase that price to $5.00 each for the first two weeks, then, like Peeps, increase the price by $1.00 each week. I sold three week old keets for $4.00 each because I didn't state the cost increase in the add. Watch for that. :).

JLeigh is in the same area as I am and I am selling my pearl grays for 5.00 each and can not keep up with the demand. I have 6 people waiting for each hatch at least. The colors go for 6.00 0-1 week then up depending on rarity.
Jleigh, we should stick to that price. Think we are the only ones here selling to any capacity. BTW, call me.. LOL I think I have something for you...
