I have a GQF hatcher and in a couple weeks will be hatching my first batch, in the hatching drawers how crowded do you put the eggs next to each other when they are hatching ? Do they need room i.e. space between each egg or just put them in side by side touching?

They hatch fine too, how many, and what kind of quail are you hatching?
ETA, You could TRY making a row of the eggs, but keep a row empty in between the 2 rows?

They need some space, I hatch mine in cartons. Seems to work great, and for space they only need enough to where they aren't all packed together. Just enough to hatch out and walk in a little circle really.

I lied at the begining of this thread I meant a couple of days. Got them this evening from UPS they will rest till I leave for work in the morning and I'll put them in about 04:30 am tomorrow. I can't wait.
