How much time do you really spend with your duck?

Just wondering what the average amount of time is spent with your duck flock (or house duck). Do you consider it quality time or just time needed to care for the flock?
What do you do during the time spent with the duck?

Feed, water, clean bedding, gather eggs. That's about it. I may sit for 10 minutes or so near the run while I drink a cup or coffee or they play in the pool. I toss the birds tidbits when I work on the garden. I enjoy relaxing near the run, but most days any time spent with my birds is utilitarian.

Yikes..Almost constantly I'm with them during the day. Demanding Birds. If I'm not refreshing water, cleaning or watching them free range I'm out Quacking to call them back to the play area. Then when I have Ducklings I'm busy with them all day too. Evenings are the best here because everyone is done for the day..

I'm wondering if maybe I spend more time than I let on as my husband and dogs always know to look for me near the coops and I have a seat out there... hmm... Perhaps the more accurate answer is, if the weather is nice and I'm home, I'm near the birds, but we do have a utilitarian relationship. I am the bringer of snacks and they are the layers of eggs.

Oh goodness I'm addicted to my birds I'm always reinforcing my relationship wit them lol even when it's raining I have a chair in the stall where my young guineas and turkeys are kept right now and I'm always enjoying my ducks their personalities are awsome! I'm also enjoying geese for the first time.not to mention my chickens lol I'm sick

No ducks here, but I spend a fair amount of time with my chickens. Between daily chores and stopping to watch their antics, can't put a number on it, but probably more than everyone at home would like.

I enjoy sitting out with mine they really are a hoot and such good company. Make me laugh with their antics. I spend probably all total hr and a half free time with them, I especially like when I let them out of their fenced area they enjoy having a new fun place to explore. I sit out with them for relaxation and for their protection.

I asked the question because I actually spend more time researching and thinking about the ducks than actually out with them.
I spend about 10 min in the morning and about an hour or less in the evening. When it is hotter out, I go out midday as well. The time is spent with the chickens too. I do look everyone over to make sure everyone looks well and I talk to them.
I would say I have a more utilitarian relationship with the ducks as well except they aren't giving me any eggs yet, so basically freeloaders!

I am afraid to admit it lol.. But not counting all the feeding, water changing, cleaning etc, just socially I spend a few hours almost everyday with them. sometimes all at the same time or throughout the day.
I talk to them the whole time I am cleaning or what have you. social time is me sitting in a low beach chair in their outdoor pen with them, sometimes just relaxing with them, reading or something, but I always wanted to make sure my animals were comfortable with humans and I just love spending time with them (they are in with my chickens) it's very relaxing and there is always amusement.
