How much time do you really spend with your duck?

It really depends on the day and what sort of time I have to spend with them.

Right now I have my adult drake separated from my hen and her 10 week old babies, so I try to go out a couple times a day to play with him and make sure he doesn't get lonely. Ever since I've started taking more risks with him (he can be a hard biter lol) with playing, and after a week away at a high school camp, he and I have gotten a lot closer.

As for my 23 other ducks, I try to spend plenty of time with them, playing, letting them chew on my fingers, and giving belly scratches. Aspen, my adult hen, has gotten broodier and won't really come up to me anymore, but if I spend enough time outside she'll come over.
That's a lot of ducks!

Very little since the eggs hatched, Paint no longer appreciates my company and I'd rather her not feel threatened and stressed.

I do still watch them from outside the pen a lot, I just love them.
Once the ducklings get old enough, you should be able to get back to spending more time with them.

Bahaha, I know. And three of my hen's eggs didn't even hatch! (I suppose we could've taken some away, but we decided to let nature take its course and see who would hatch) I used to have 27 all together, including my drake, but a hawk found my ducklings and took three. :(
Sorry to hear that.
