How Much Time Do You Spend Caring For Your Chickens On Average?

I have 2 coops and a brooder coop (3 coops) currently I have 40 hens but am expecting 25 more chicks. I spend 30 minutes mol daily caring for my birds. On cleaning days I will spend an hr or two. I have poop pits under my roosts that I rake out once a week and put into my compost piles.

I have 8 chickens and spend about 30 minutes per day on actual chores. We built a "poop pit" under the roost, put in organic cat litter and covered it with wire for the droppings to fall through so I can clean the poop out each day in minutes. The rest of the time I spend on feeding, watering, egg collecting, and general clean up.

Now, The time we spend petting, talking to and just being amused by them is another matter. We ususally let them out for supervised play about an hour in the evening - but that's entertainment for us!

i have three pens; two chicken pens and one duck pen and that out there feeding/watering/collecting eggs takes about 40 minutes then if you go in my garage i have a cage with seramas, a cage with cochins, and a cage with a lavender bantam ameraucana, plus a brooder and that in there takes about 10 minutes with watering/egg collecting/feeding. then if you go into the house i sometimes have a brooder in there but always an incubator and turning the eggs and filling the water trays takes a few minutes so it takes about an hour and a half to do everything. and then once a month i clean cages and coops and that usually takes me a few hours.
