Hi All, I've got eggs coming out my ears! I need to start selling them, but want to make sure I'm not charging too much or too little. I'm wondering if anyone else live in my area and can give me an idea of how much they're charging. I've got chicken and duck eggs.

Also, what about selling hatching eggs? I know people sell them for more, but how do you decide how much more and how should you treat these eggs differently?

Thanks in advance.

The signs in my rural area say $2/dozen. But I saw an ad in Corvallis asking much more. I can brag that my yolks have the best color of any, but we aren't getting enough to feed the household... yet.

I've paid between $2.50 and $4 a dozen at our farmers market in Oregon City. (different size eggs cost different amounts; Small eggs=2.50, Medium=3.50, Large=4). I only have one bird laying eggs so I still buy mine.

When I worked on an Organic farm in WA, you could charge (and actually get) way more for certified, organic, vegetarian feed, free range, non-caged hens. No joke, the lid actually said all of that... $4.50/dozen in Seattle and Portland
