How much to charge for eggs?

When all of mine start laying and I have enough to sell (I have 23 pullets, 2 are laying) I'm planning on charging $2.00 a dozen.

I to will give a small discount if they return with an empty carton to refill.

I live out in the country and quite a bit of people out here have their own chickens. I am very close to Raleigh and I can probably sell them to people in the city best.

We'd started selling our eggs to our neighbors at $3.50/doz. Then our German neighbors got hooked. They started giving us $4/doz. The last dozen they bought they gave us $5 for!!!!!! Mind you, we did NOT ask for more money - they have INSITSTED! We're moving, and they asked if they could still buy eggs once we move. I told them of course they can, and the wife said that was great because now she's "spoiled" on our eggs!
