Hi jmurno,
I'm in southern NH and a newish duck owner with 2 13 week old muscovy. They get 6 oz. of feed between them and sometimes they leave some but usually they eat most. They also each get a small dish of melon and cukes for breakfast and about 1/4 - 1/3 cup of homemade mash (veggies, herbs, a protein and supplement - niacin/B). They are BIG. I don't know their weight but will try to get it soon. They "free range" too but not for the entire day. Portions - a couple or few hours, a couple times a day. Ie. 4 - 5 hours a day with additional walks with Momma. They seem super healthy but I am getting them checked by a vet this week. Shaky legs and some ankle clicking and a few questions I have for fine tuning and temperament. My impression is that although one duck seems to really like to hunt, the other keeps him down a bit with laziness. I assume that dusks like to stick together and that the laziest will rule the activity level and range and perhaps the amount of cover from predators. Maybe it's different with multiples.
