How much to feed?

Any recommendations on how much laying mash/scratch feed to feed each chicken?

my 5 girls (3 Black sexies and 2 RIR's ) get about a half cup of scratch a day. They have free access to all the pellets they want, plus they have a huge run with rotting staw to pick around for bugs in.

scratch is a treat.an not fed like layer pellets.layer pellets are fed free choice.meaning they have access to them 24/7.each hen eats about 4ozs of feed a day.

I keep my feeder filled at all times for my chickens. They always feed. No need for them to be portioned here. But if you read this thread it might give you an idea per bird..

wow, each one of my hens will eat more than 1/2 cup per day. I guess I am raising pigs
