I saw something on a website the other day. $50 for hens that are just about ready to lay. I can get them for less than $10 at the flea market!

I managed to get my silkie hen for free, she's a year and a half, and her clutch is due in 2 days! I think if you look hard, you can get them cheap, just be educated to make sure they are healthy!

I sell my non show quality black silkie chicks for about 4 a piece as day olds and 6-7 a piece if they are started and about a month old. Pullets go for 15 each and roo's go for about 8 bucks each.
