are you paying for rabbits in your area
and what age
Well, in my area at least it varies wildly depending on the breed and quality. You can find a 4-H kid who is just giving litters away, right up to a breeder who charges $100.00 or more for a proven buck or doe. I once had an offer for my tiny Polish doe for $165.00 from a guy who was desperate to breed from her line. No luck for him, as she was a beloved pet and not a breeder!
rabbits vary here
mutts free to $15 normally
purebreds with pedigrees, $15-$500 no lie.
I think it really depends what quality you are getting. If you just want a pet, then it will be less than if you wanted to start your own line from quality stock. Alot of people will sell rabbits cheap to kids in 4-H.
At auction they go for five to ten dollars. If sold privately, a doe is about $25 tops, males are less.
I just give extra male bunnies away to kids for 4H.
