Depends and depends. Is the feed to be their only source of sustenance? What kind of chickens? And for the cost, your geographical location makes a big difference. Prices vary widely around the country.

My chickens eat about 4 oz. of layer feed every day. If my math is right, at this rate you would need a 50# bag every 4 days.

im from south louisiana; it would probably be half medium and half large chickens; and yes it would be their only source of food
