My 8 year old black ostralorp seems better after a good dusting with permethrin but still lifts her right leg like something's still bugging her. Can I re-dust? Just dusted her two days ago.

I believe the can says you retreat them after 10 days? I could be wrong. It should say on the can. Personally I usually dust them 2 times a year, once in the spring, and again in the fall even if there are no signs of mites i dust them. If you don't like the dust you can also spray them with adams flea and tick spray with IGR (insect growth regulator). You can find at the pet store for dogs and cats but can be used on chickens too). I am gonna try the spray this year verses the dust and see how it goes.

I meant can I redust her right away? Or at least dust the leg that seems to be bothering her. 1st I'm going to look at the leg and see if there's any injury.

Being that she is 8 years old it could be old age kicking in. If it seems like its bothering her you can disolve a baby asprin in a gallon of water and give it to her. Thats what I did when my roo sprainged his leg
