How often do Cochins normally lay?? *pic*

My Cochin hen has now laid 16 eggs in 16 days!! I know its her because my other two are not laying yet and she has her special nest under my sage bush. She even is on the nest at exactly 10:30am everyday.

Is this normal? I was told she would only lay about 3-4 eggs a week.

That can be perfectly normal. I have a SL Cochin that lays daily, as do most of my bantam Cochins.

I wasn't expecting my buff cochin to be a big producer, but I get a good number of eggs from her, 3 - 5 a week easily. She didn't slow down at all in the worst of the cold winter, either.
