How often do I clean my coop and what should I lay down?

I have 16 chickens, in a two room, 160 square foot coop, and a 96 square foot, fully enclosed attached run. The coop has 176 square feet of permanent ventilation. I do cover all but about 60 square feet in the winter though.

The 90 square foot roosting/egg laying room has 3 hardware cloth covered openings, with adjustable shutters, and when fully open, gives about 30 square feet of total ventilation.

I clean my poop boards every other day, and I clean the coop/run twice a year. I use the run as a deep litter compost area, so twice a year, I shovel the compost out of the run, to use in the garden, then shovel the coop litter/bedding into the run to start the compost cycle again.

I use straw, wood chips, pine shavings, sticks, twigs, and leaves in the run, and pine shavings, and leaves in the coop.
