How often do Peking Ducks lay eggs?

My McMurray's "Jumbo" Pekin is about 6 years old; she's been consistently laying 3 - 4 eggs a week from April through September every year since I got her.

It's your potbelly pigs! I could not understand why my hens were laying so few eggs when I always had at least 20 to 25 a day. Come to find a month later the darn pig was getting them first. Pigs are really smart and can problem solve very well. HA HA...LITTLE STINKER!

I have a female crested pekin we rescued. I think she was born in may or June.. She layed one egg Nov. 1. waited a few days and then has layed an egg a day since.. the eggs aren't as big as Daisys the 19 month old WH. but they will get bigger.. Judy has layed in the nest every time. Daisy showed her .

'Peking' ducks don't lay at all, I think those are served in some Chinese restaurants

But seriously, pekin ducks should lay almost every day, though this time of year it's kind of hit-and-miss. Just wait til spring (spring being mid-February usually), you'll be up to your ears with eggs and wishing they'd slow down!

I have a pekin duck and she has been laying since sept. She has missed a day now and then. One day I got 2 eggs. She is 9 months old and I am real pleased with her and will be getting more duck in the spring. I want a variety of different breeds.

Every day for the rest of their and your lives, except maybe a week of the year, something is either eating your eggs, or they need more protien feeding, and possibly worming. My pekins made a nest in there hay stack in there pen, after they do there morning laying they get the door opened to come out and play, I hatched in incubators over 300 eggs last year, sold eggs to the Asian clients that do nails etc., and ebayed eggs, and scrambled eggs, and fed the dogs and pigs eggs, oh sweet jesus, there is only so much you can do with so many eggs, fertility was great with 15 hens and 3 drakes, I have pictures on website. Are you sure you have a hen? Pekin are prolific layers.

I have 2 Pekins, a 2 yr old Jumbo and a 15 month old regular Pekin, both have laid every day except for the 3 weeks they shared a nest of unfertilized eggs back in April/May...I had a Scovy egg in the incubator in the house, once it pipped I ran out and slipped it under the Jumbo and she was an awesome Mamma. I would say your piggies are eating those eggs. My Ducks don't have a nesting box anymore, I had one out there and they wouldn't use it. They all lay their eggs in the same exact spot in their house. In the summer mine usually lay their eggs between 3 am and 6 am, in fall and winter they lay them between 7 am and 9 am.

I have 2 peking ducks. Mine lay everyday. I made them a box that kinda looks like a dog house. I find eggs in it every morning. Some times my chickens lay in there as well. When they first started laying them they dug holes and covered them up. They are quite a bit larger than my chicken eggs and have harder shells.
