How often do you all dust your chickens for mites/lice?

Almost forgot... I know of someone that put poultry lice in a jar of DE and one week later they were still alive. Waiting for someone to show video proof that it works, but no one is willing to do that experiment.

I show chickens, so lice dust is applied before summer shows, however you could do it every two weeks if it is warm

I know they can be spread by rodents so maybe?
