How often do you change your duck pool water?

This makes me think that a sign could be an essential, must-have duck world item! Wonderful! Just curious...do the turkeys go in?
We have signs and banners everywhere. My pops has a degree in marketing and my brother in design so it’s a whole farm that is amazing and just a great family thing we have signs posted of what each animal can and cannot eat, their meds, their worming schedule, like a zoo but for our family. Lol

These are our pets, so no slaughtering on this side however we do raise cattle, swine, and meat chickens for profit.

The turkeys just sit on the sand/field dirt out of the sun, one tried and it didn’t quite work out, they frantically got out fast, lol. They will drink from it but in over three months just that one.

Ooh, you have a picture? Sounds really interesting!
I have been revitalizing my coop so im not quite finished yet but this is so far

UPDATE: I got a pool today for my ducks. I built them a ramp so they can easily get into the pool.

However they get it dirty so fast! I bought it later this afternoon and it’s already dirty.

Also they aren’t using the ramp! They get in by leaning their body in and then putting their feet on the edge of the pool. and then they get in. And when they get out they have trouble because it’s too high for them so they get out the same wayy the get in but i’m guessing it’s probably not good for their feet.

So how do i get them to use the ramp? And how do you guys keep the pool clean?View attachment 2212659

It’s not good for them to swim in filth, I found myself doing it multiple times a week, maybe every other day.

Finally finished my duck pool. It's plumbed into the sewer so I can drain it without a mess. I also have a well so water only cost what electricity the pump uses. Our ducks are only 3 weeks old. We have to catch them just to put them in there. Can't wait to let them have the entire yard so they can figure it out on their own...lol.

LOVE this! I’m sure your ducklings will figure it out because mine figured it out right away. But the big ones still have trouble with it.

It's there if they want it when they get cut loose. I will put a small feeder up there with treats. Sure it won't take much more than that to get them in.

Can I give you 1 suggestion put cross boards on your ramp they will have trouble going up and down it. it is very awesome

I thought about that but the incline is very mild. The ramp is 4 foot long and the rise is about 12 inches. All the wood that will come in contact with their feet is cedar fence pickets. They are semi rough cut so there is some traction there. I only sanded them enough to knock off any splinters. We had one of them walk down it this morning and it's legs were just long enough to walk down the steps to the ramp then she jetted off...lol. They are still a little skittish. They will eat out of your hand but they will not let you pet them.
