How often do you collect your eggs?

I go out at 5am to feed, and have never found an egg that early

but I am usually back out there every few hours. Then I get to do a once daily big egg hunt thanks to my free range bantams...I usually do that about 5pm or so. The other day I found a nest of 13 blue bantam EE eggs

Once in the morning and again late afternoon.

I check at noon when I get home from work, and my daughter checks after school. Sometimes I check as I'm letting them out to free range.

Once a day during weekdays. About 3 or 4 times during weekends.

at 1:30 when I let them out to free range and once again when I lock them up for the night....

When they first started to lay I was out there almost every hour but when the housework and other chores started to suffer as a result (LOL!!) I cut back to 2-3 times a day. Now even if there are eggs in the boxes in the morning I wait until about 4 to collect them so that I can keep better track of the daily total.

Every morning between 8-9 am, Everyone gets a treat and a compliment, In the summer I might check twice a day.

I get tickled pink, when I'm out of town for a couple days and find two or three dozen. (my son feeds, but won't collect)

Our hens lay early, they are usually all laid by 10 am so we collect around then, sometimes a little later
