How often do you eat chicken?

Just curious. We spend all this time growing chicken but I only cook chicken two to three times a month. We have our own beef and we buy a pig every so often. I may cook ckicken more when I know we have an abundance of it but right now I don't . We do eat more eggs now that we have our own.

We eat chicken 2-3x/week. Particularly if we thaw a bigger bird...it becomes 3 dinners for the family.

 

[fair weather chicken]

we probably eat chicken 4 to 5 times a week. especially during the summer, on the grill. in winter 3 to 5 times in soup, stews, pot pies. our chicken, yummmmmm. we will be butchering again in june and august, maybe september. more chicks arrive wednesday or thursday.
