How often do you feed? Settle a squabble!

Mine also have a large feeder, but I usually put a couple scoops in 2x a day depending on what they need? They get topped off per say when I am out there which is a few times a day. They are never without.

I also (in the winter) get them produce from the clearance cart at the grocery store for a treat since I dont' have my garden in the winter!

My chickies are VERY spoiled and its comforting to know and read some of these post that make me feel like I am not alone! I call my coop and chickies "chicken zen" and if you have chickens I think you know what I mean.

I free feed. The feeder is full at all times. They also do some free ranging. I give them cracked corn and BOSS when i want to lure them back into the coop.

Voted! We feed once a day, first thing in the morning. But we also free range most days.

I keep a feeder filled, also. I keep it in the coop, so it stays dry. I haven't had an issue with freeloaders in the coop stealing feed, probably because it's out of sight.

I give out a small snack when they come to the patio in the morning to say "Hi" and then send them out to forage for the day. In the winter, they normally get some scratch before they go to roost. They also get some sprouts and wheat grass as green feed during the winter, but that's usually during the day.

I free range at all times, so I feed once a day~evening in the warm months and morning in the colder~ and only an amount they would clean up by morning dismount from the roosts or by evening hopping onto the roosts. Any leftover feed is a rodent and therefore a snake attractant and will result in egg and feed losses around here.

We keep a dish with a constant supply of layer mash for the hens in the coop.
Once the chickens have all been outside and free-ranging for 2 hours, I offer them my daily treats of left-overs, topped off with a cup of raw oatmeal. My chickens are fed 1 hot/warm meal and one, "cold"/dry meal. So, guess I feed twice daily.
