How often do you guys wash the waterer and feeders?

How often do you wash them when there babies/how often when they're adult and out of the brooder?

I wash mine whenever they look scummy or poopy.

You can probably limit yourself to once a day, though.

I wash the waterers thoroughly every time I refill them. I only wipe out the feeders if they get nasty.

I'm sure I don't wash mine enough, but I scrub them down when the algae starts growing otherwise I rinse them out when I fill them.

I scrub the sludge out with a washcloth or sponge every 2-3 days when I do a full water change. The other days I just top them off before work. I'm thinking of getting a float valve though, coz they are drinking a LOT thesedays!!!!!

I don't clean the feeders, they seem relatively clean, so I don't wash them

I wash my waterers out every day, with water and a rag. Once a week I put Oxine in the dishpan that I wash them in, to sanitize them.

Feeders, I totally empty them once a week, to be sure there is no old feed, crap or mold in them. Then I just use a dry rag to wipe them out.

Sanitation is very important - wash at least once a day
