how often should i hold the chicks?

how often should i handle my chicks if i want them to be very friendly?
i handle them about 45 minutes a day but they are still nervous around me (they are 2weeks old). will they become more calm as they are adults? i guess im just not used to it from being with my gosling who follows me everywhere and goes crazy until i pick her up

I handled my chicks a lot!!! But only one out of the ten begs to be held now that they are one year old. All of them are easily handled - which has proved to be a blessing when I need to care for them. So it is worth all the time you have available.
