How often to/can I add?

Well, i was just going to get a few chickens and then get more the next year or two years to supplement laying. I have heard some say that once every year or two is OK but i have also heard that 4-5 years was better. They would all be hens.

As long as the chickens are healthy and you quarantine adding to a flock is usually not an issue. I have added birds 6 - 8 times during a year.
