How often do guineas lay eggs? Do they lay like chickens or like geese? Oh and how old do they have to be before they start to lay?

Peeps if you had keets hatch in March they will be old enough to lay at least a test egg before they quit for the year. Guineas have a laying season, Feb/March to Oct/Nov and will lay daily during their season.

OOOOOOOOOO!!!!! So my one day old guineas won't be here till next friday. I guess that means they won't lay until next October.

No there is a very good possibility they will start laying in Spring. Its just that most of us start off with keets in the Spring which most of the time doesn't give them enough time to mature during the laying season.

That's the thing about Guineas, they are going to do it according to their schedule and not ours.
