How often?

Has anyone had any experience getting pullets from Myer's; and if so how did they do? I'm waiting for some chicks from Myer's right now and I'm a bit nervous.

At TSC, the most knowledgeable employee over chick sales told me that the straight runs were almost all roos. He said they were what was left of a hatching after they pulled out the pullets.

Well, when we bought ours, they were running a special. Buy 6, get 6 free. The 10 we actually paid for were sexed and (hopefully) pullets. The 6 free had to come out of the straight run tub. Reading the responses here, I'm worried we may have as many roos as we do pullets! Yikes! I don't mind a rooster or two, but we definitely want way more ladies than gents.

I've got 6 more coming from Meyer the first week of may. 3 Silkies and 3 Dominiques. I already wonder what those will be because the Silkies are straight run while the Doms are supposed to be pullets.

I bought 6 chicks from TSC in their "assorted pullets" bin, and all 6 were girls. Whew!
