Hi, I'm getting my very first chicks ever in a few days, My brooder and supplies will be here in a day or so, but I was wondering at what age you all put yours out into the hen house/fenced run? I' have a very modest space for my coop so that means fewer chickens obviously. I just wanna make sure they're fully ready to start living outside, so need some guidance please. Thanks alot

It just depends on weather and feathering of your chicks. I personally put my chicks out at 5 weeks with good feathering an it was around 50 degrees at midday. They all ended up great

I put my chicks out in the coop and gave them access to the run at about 2 months thats about when they got all of their feathers. As soon as they have all of their feathers they'll be ok.

Ok great, thanks guys
