I like those ideas! I think I'll be splitting them after a couple of weeks, so I'll have to try that out. The ducks can dip their whole bill in the water now, probably part of their head too.

If they can't sunk their whole head to clear their nostrils and eyea, they can get respiratory infection. So just be careful. Also, they will need additional niacin since it's not high enough in the chick feed. Have you been over to the duck forum?

I've looked a bit, but obviously not enough! I'm still learning and I suppose still have a lot to learn.

You can use brewers yeast to sprinkle on their food, or you can buy plain niacin pills and crush them up and dissolve it in their water. It won't hurt the chick's to have the extra niacin
