I have no idea what breed that is, never heard of it. LOL is that good? hahaa

Buff is the color, saddleback is the pattern, Pomeranian is the breed. Many think that all saddlebacks are Pomeranians and all Pomeranians are saddlebacks. a true Pomeranian breeder will tell you differently! I think true Pomeranians are fairly rare in the US.

Oh, so they just go by Pomeranians? Kind of like chickens, if you say you have a Cochin.... but the Cochin is a silver laced, you would say Silver Laced Cochin? I'm so lost as to what that post meant.

What is a true pomeranian?

That was just someone being overly breederly precise as breeders can do. Yes you have it exactly right. Pomeranian geese come in colors other then saddleback but I think they are kind of rare in the US. Saddleback is the most common color of pomeranian in the US as far as I know. I have the grey saddlebacks but like I said I have seen very few buffs so I consider that a find. They may or may not be pure pomeranian but who cares unless you are breeding for show.

that's a good enough approximation of what they are. Just advertise the babies as pet quality buff saddleback pomeranians and if someone asks let them know that you are guessing on the breed as you got them as older birds. Not a big deal.
