How old are these marans?

Quote:
Its quite easy. A partridge rock has totally different feathering that a barred rock or Dominique. Partridge rocks are brown with dark penciling on the feathers. A dominique and Barred rock are white and black. The colors alternate in "bars." It is quite rare in most places to get Dominiques. Most often they are Barred rocks. Dominiques have a rose comb and Barred rocks have a single comb. That is the main way to tell the difference.

Here is a male and female barred rock:

The difference between a barred rock and a maran can be harder, but there are two things that are dead give aways. Marans will have pink legs, not yellow. Their barring will also be a lot more blurred.

Hmmmm I'm guessing 16-18 weeks on the marans, judging by comb size. I don't know how big mature marans combs are compared to BR combs, though, and I'm comparing them to my BR pullets.
