I have a feeling that my incubated eggs won't hatch and I need a few chicks for an anxious 5 year old. I only had 6 out of the 50 eggs hatch so far.

Also tomorrow is 21 days, how much longer would you let them sit in past 21 days?

A) I would let them go another day or two, nothing to loose, and you never know...............

2) The chicks coming into TSC are two or three days old when they arrive.

Good luck either way.........

Oh I'd let them go another couple of days. Folks like to hold that "21 days" up like it's written in stone but it's not. It'd be a horrible shame to toss chicks that would hatch in a few days.

Hatchery chicks are hatched one day and usually shipped the next, so depending on how long they are in transit they're 2-4 days old when they hit your feed store.
