My silver laced girl, Sula hatched out a single baby 2 weeks ago. I'm getting antsy waiting the time to put up pictures for everyone to do their best guess work. I've never had a chicken sexed wrong after posting on the website, just am trying to wait until it's old enough to be sexed from pictures. Some say you can tell as early as 2-3 weeks....

I bought my Blue Cochin Rooster at 4 weeks unsexed. Due to his docile personality I just assumed hen til he started crowing. Now looking back, I should have known when I bought him that he was a cockerel. I am getting a pullet vibe from this chick, but as she's a singleton, there is nothing to compare to. I will have to post pictures next week to see what others think.

I have 4 young ones ~ 4 weeks old.. and there is one of the 4 that I am pretty sure is a roo. One I am pretty sure is a pullet and the other two could be either. So...I would have to say some you can tell eraly and others you have to wait a while longer.
