how old before watermelon?

Hi!

How old should they be before certain treats? I have some watermelon I want to let my 4 week old babies try, but not sure if I should. Thanks!

You can give them watermelon now, I have fed it to 2 week old chicks before. Just make sure they don't eat the seeds, not that the seeds are bad but when they are that little its probably not a good idea

I gave mine bananas, so I don't see how watermelon would hurt, except maybe big seeds.

They may not *really* need it for watermelon, but give em some grit when you start treats. You can get chick sized grit at TSC for like $5ish
