How old before you can give treats?

How old should your chicks be to start giving them treats (other stuff other than the crumbs)?

My chicks didn't really touch treats until they were a few weeks old, and you don't want to feed them too many treats to distract from the crumbs, but I'm sure you know that. Yogurt and cooked egg are great treats for chicks when they start eating them!

I had 3 chicks raised by a mama hen last year, and she let the chicks have treats almost from day number one. I was giving her treats to give her some extra nutrition, she would peck at it make it into smaller pieces then call the chicks over to it, and they loved treats. So, I believe chicks can have treats, as long as they are broken into tiny pieces like the mama hen does.
