How old can ducklings be before they go outside?!?!

They need to be old enough to handle the temperature, and the accommodations need to provide what they need. For example, if they are two weeks old, and the outdoor coop (brooder) can be kept at about 85 degrees F, and they are safe from predators and have clean water (that is not too deep so they don't get into trouble) and feed available, they should be fine.

Right now mine are five and a half weeks old, and the outdoor nighttime temperatures have been in the upper twenties. Not a good match. They need at least 65 degrees F at this point.

Where are you keeping them now?
