How old did your cockerel crow?

The earliest I've had is 8 weeks, by a serama cockerel. The latest I've had is 8 months and a couple of weeks old, by an Oriental gamefowl male (possibly mixed).

The usual for me is 5-6 months old

lol theyre all different, some of them think theyre hens for a year, some will start right out of the brooder ..

One of my cockerels started crowing at five weeks, the others didn’t start till later. One of them didn’t crow at all before he was dinner, at about five months. I know someone on here has posted a video of their chick crowing at less than a week old, I’ll have to see if I can find it. It’s adorable.
I want to see it!! NOW!!!!!!!

My frizzle crowed this morning...6 weeks and 1 day. Adorably creaky. Will see if I can share the vid. I have a polish male that I think will crow v soon too....

Clark took all of 5 months to start. I had read somewhere they usually start 4 1/2 to 5 months. Well my fiance and I were out one morning questioning him what is taking so long and just as we got back to the house.. he figured out to use his voice! And dont worry, he will remind you often he knows how to use it if you walk by without any treats!

My boy is finally crowing at 16 weeks 😂 . I think he's been saving it up though, because it sounds like an adult crow rather than a baby crow!
