will likely breed a 7 months it depends quite a bit on the breed, whether or not he is fertile is another question. All you can do is see what happens.

I have an EE roo who is 7 mos and has been breeding for about 2 months but just recently I've noticed some of the eggs are fertile.

I have some Buff pullets that just started laying. I put their FIRST eggs in the incubator (I wanted some more buffs! [IMG]) and they all hatched! I hadnt even seen the roo ever mating with them yet!
