My MIL (I call her Ma) had a very sweet Pekin drake, Davey, who passed away in his sleep just a few days ago. He was almost 12.

My sweet Pekin is around 11 years old and is battling arthritis pretty badly. We did the lasers, the medication, the whole thing, but will probably have to say goodbye soon. Her best friend is a 9-year-old tiny little Rouen but you'd think she was much younger! I hope I age as gracefully as her.

Our duck Alice is the last of 7, she is a white Pekin type and is 13 years old. She is looking every inch of her age and we don't think she has long left. We think her secret is she is quite feisty (she competed with our male for food and took over the flock when he died)! She has never laid many eggs and that may have saved some energy.

I love pekin ducks, mine was killed but I have her babies,..half Mallard,..long love story,..my mother's name is Alice so I love this,..and thanks for everyone that has replied to my question
