I have 3 RIR and 1 Buff Orp. I get 2 to 3 eggs a day. They are 4.5 years old. Out of the 12 hens I started with, these ladies are what is left. I'm happy with them.

My oldest girl, a blue Ameraucana is going on 8YO, she has slowed down but still gives up an egg or 2.
Second oldest is an EE (BA/EE 75/25) and has slowed down this spring, she is 6YO
Third is an EE 5YO and lays almost daily (6 per week still)

My Easter Egger is eight years old, and she laid eggs this spring.
