How old should chicks be before I start making then sleep in the coop with my existing flock?

I have two 8 week old chicks (a Light Sussex and a Cream Legbar) and I have started leaving them in the coop during the day with my existing flock, they get along very well now after a few days together so I'm wondering if they should be kept in the coop at night as well. Thanks
I wait till they have all their feathers when it's cold. If not then after they are off heat.

Also have a place they can go that's away from the rest of the flock. Just for them that the flock can't go but can see. It helps alot.

We integrate ours at 8 weeks after using the "see-no-touch" method from the age of 3 weeks. They mingle during the day for about a week, then we close off access to their brooder so they're pretty much forced to move into the big coop at night as well. We've never had any problems.

Good luck with your chicks!

Its currently summer so its pretty hot at night and I took them off the heat when they were about 6 weeks old. Thanks

If they get along during the day , I would try to let them sleep with the adults. There is a chance the adults won’t let them roost on ‘their’ roost.
It ways nice if chickens have a choice to avoid quarrel. Do the juveniles roost now? 8 weeks is old enough. Can you make another roost lower to the ground for the juveniles?

And please add your location (country or state) in your profile. This is very helpful ibfo for people who try to help.
